This course will teach students the theory and practice of sustainability management. Course content will focus on the "triple bottom line" - the connection among the health of the environment social responsibility and the organization's financial success and resilience - for positive outcomes for customers communities supply chain partners and profitability. Students will learn about how companies develop and apply sustainability strategy goals and objectives for optimal business advantage while reducing risk. Students will learn how to develop and apply measurement and reporting mechanisms as well as common standards and certifications. The course will address the implications of this management approach for finance marketing communications human resources operations and supply chain.
