This course will focus on reading interpreting and developing high-quality Individualized Education Plans (IEP's) for students identified with disabilities. The complete IEP process from evaluation and determining eligibility through the development of an IEP based on collected data will be examined. Students will use provided sample baseline data and information to collaborate and interpret student performance against specific eligibility criteria develop Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) statements write quality academic and functional IEP goals determine educational placements plan for supplemental supports and determine important assessment accommodations for students. Emphasis will be placed on writing high-quality SMART IEP goals.
